ギミック的な面もありますが、コンパクトになるのは助かります。

モデル自体は何年か前からあるので最近のハイブリッドタイプのヘルメットと比べると重いです。最大の魅力の折畳みできる点は収納しやすく良いのですが、サイズ調整で外れてしまうと戻すのが面倒でした。バンドの調整もしにくく、フィット感も人を選ぶと思います。
雑誌によく紹介されてるので人気のようですが、店頭で試せたら別のモデルにしていたかもしれません。

Fits well from XS to XL. The ability to breakdown and put it in a pack and not burn up space is huge. I have had several of these that I've passed on to others and they are a big hit. You do need to RTFM to understand how to pen and close, all problems I've seen have been with instructions not being followed.

Teniendo en cuenta que el modelo MADILLO es plegable y difiere algo del de la foto.
Si diseño es perfecto, al plegarse queda de un tamaño super reducido, con lo que llevarlo dentro de la mochila es muy fácil.
Recomendable sobretodo para aquellas excursiones en las que el casco tan solo se usará en ciertos momentos y viajará dentro de la mochila la mayor parte del tiempo.
Edelrid como en tantas ocasiones con este casco ha hecho un trabajo de diseño excepcional.

Bought for personal and mountain rescue use! Not sure why these aren't more popular as full UIAA spec with clever design. Cheaper now than when they first came out, and hard to find in UK. Limited size range but luckily fits me at upper end of adjustment, so I am delighted, and so comfortable to wear all day or night on bigger jobs. Bought a hi-viz bike helmet cover for it for rain to cover vents, and use at night!

I bought this thing as a backup for my "real" climbing helmet. It's light, and it's small. Perfect for SAR work that requires a helmet as a technicality. (You can't carry a litter without a helmet in Yosemite. Why, I do not know.) But it's uncomfortable and doesn't give much coverage. It also lacks an internal suspension system. It's designed like a collapsible bike helmet. I would not use it for climbing. If you're climbing, get a real helmet.

I have been looking for a folding helmet for some time - I use the blue bike scheme in London and like to have a helmet. This is ideal as it is small enough to tuck in my bag instead of bouncing around off the strap going into meetings. It feels robust and well put together after a couple of weeks in use. My only gripe is that it's a bit on the small size - I don't need the largest size on my normal cycle helmets so the fact that this is a bit tight at it's widest adjustment is frustrating (hence not five stars). However, this is a limited issue as I am not wearing it for more than twenty minutes at a stretch. I can't vouch for the safety legislation of it being used for cycling instead of climbing, but the construction feels comparable to cycling helmets and it suits my purposes very well.
